Stop by the CUESA Classroom for a cooking demo featuring the seasonal bounty of the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, featuring one of our market sellers.
Offering “old world dishes with a new world twist,” Ramni Levy creates handmade knishes, latkes, and condiments that pay tribute to traditional Eastern European snack foods. The knish puff pastry is baked, consisting of a flaky outer crust that is filled with a rotating selection of flavor combinations. Classic fillings such as potato are available alongside more novel flavor combinations like pastrami, wasabi potato, or herb goat cheese. Even when incorporating inventive new flavors, Ramni stays true to traditional preparation techniques.
All demos take place in the CUESA Classroom (under the white tents in front of the Ferry Building) and are free to the public, with recipes and samples.
