French Film, Wine & Conversation
To help non-French speakers discover French cinema, The Alliance Française of San Francisco is offering a weekly Tuesday night class centered around a French film and conversation.
The class will take place in their cozy theater with free wine, refreshments and popcorn all for a $5 donation at the door.
Don’t know French? Don’t worry… all films are screened with English subtitles, and includes a brief talk and discussion about the film.
When Camille, a high school girl, accidentally becomes pregnant, 16 of her friends and classmates decide to follow suit, throwing their town and school into chaos. The story is based on real events that took place in Gloucester, Massachussets, in 2008 and has been relocated to Lorient, a shabby port city on the Brittany coast.
