Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs, including live music, poetry, films, dance, tours, talks and more. Season Eight is every Friday night from March 30 – November 23, 2012.
This weekly after-hours art “happening” changes every week, but typically includes a mix of live music, dance performances, film screenings, panel discussions, lectures, artist demonstrations, special performances, hands-on art activities and more. Plus the observation tower is open until 8:15pm.

The above listed activities for “Friday Nights at the de Young” are free and located in the public spaces of the museum. But please note that even on Friday nights, the museums’ galleries are not free and require a regular admission ticket.
