Funcheap and Stroy Moyd of #HellaFunny are taking over the historic Great Star Theater (built in 1925) for a one-night-only showcase on Saturday, March 29, 2014 for a special BYOB comedy night.

We’ve handpicked some of the funniest up-and-coming comedians from SF’s best comedy troupes showcasing them for just two shows. Expect a night of top local comics, comedy giveaways, and some surprises.

Stroy Moyd (Oddball Festival with Dave Chappelle)
The CEO of #HellaFunny Productions, Stroy Moyd is a stand up comedian who performs at venues all over the country. Recently he opened for Tracy Morgan and Hannibal Buress, won the Laugh Factory Hollywood’s Fresh Faces comedy competition 3 consecutive times, performed on the ‘Up Next’ showcase for Comedy Central, and opened up for Dave Chappelle and the Flight of the Concords at the OddBall Festival at the Shoreline Amphitheater. @StroyMoyd

Paco Romane (Comedy Central)
Paco Romane is an award-winning and critically acclaimed stand up comedian (voted “Best Comedian” in the SF Weekly and SF Bay Guardian), actor, writer, and director. He has established himself as an audience favorite with his energetic, self-deprecating style. NBC Bay Area raved, “7 years of success have kept Paco Romane at the top of the Bay Area comedy scene” @pacoromane

Matt Gubser (SF Sketchfest)
Don’t let his laid-back demeanor and messianic appearance fool you. Matt Gubser irreverently slices through social conventions of all shapes and sizes with his razor-sharp wit, and recounts the absurdity of his experiences parenting, dating and aging. Also dick jokes. Matt performs at clubs and comedy festivals across the western US, including SF Sketchfest and the Sacramento Comedy Festival & produces shows around the Bay Area. @mattgubser

Rachel Scoot (Punchline, #HellaFunny)
Rachel. Scoot. Two names. One lady. Rachel has been performing standup and sketch comedy for 2.8 years. She lives for laughs, what can she say? Nothing. She’ll take it. Jules Posner (Punchline Comedy Club)
Jules has been featured on Jokes.com’s No Drink Minimum and Rooftopcomedy.com’s Road Trip on Hulu. He has also performed at SF Sketchfest four years in a row and was named “not a poser” by Skateboard Magazine’s “are you a poser” quiz. When he’s not doing comedy, Jules enjoys keeping it real. @julesposner

Bert DiVietri (SF Sketchfest)
Bert DiVietri is a San Francisco comedian from Lansing Michigan. He has been in SF Sketchfest twice for his sketch group “Don’t Watch This Show LIVE!” and stand up comedy. @bertcomedy

Dash Kwiatkowski (The Avengers of Comedy)
Dash Kwiatkowski is a nerd comedian from the San Francisco Bay Area. He’s a regular at the San Francisco Punch Line, and has performed all over the state. He’s the creator of the Avengers of Comedy, and has performed at SF Sketchfest two years in a row. He specializes in relating to audiences big and small, old and young, nerdy and not, and of all kinds. @TheTrollverine

Trevor Joyner (Opened for Jerry Seinfeld)
Trevor Joyner is a native Washingtonian who began honing his comedy skills in High School by hosting many different events. After graduating HS Trevor enrolled in South Carolina State University as a Theatre Arts major. He soon began starring in several plays at the University and performing standup comedy to sold-out audiences. After one year at SCSU Trevor left college to fully pursue his career and growth in comedy. He has opened for everybody from the likes of Faizon Love to Jerry Seinfeld. In 2012 Trevor’s one man show “why so serious” debuted at the Capital Fringe festival to rave reviews. @lolTrev

Gary Anderson (Cobbs Comedy Club)
Gary brings to the stage a special brand of versatility and charisma that is described as relatable, clever and continuously evolving. A former collegiate athlete, Gary has great range sharing his comedic insight on college life, troubled relationships, family struggles, and debunking cultural myths. He’s performed in major clubs including: Hollywood Laughfactory, San Jose Improv, Cobb’s and San Francisco Punchline. @Gcornbread

Josef Anolin (Oakland Comedian, Opened for Dat Phan)
Josef Anolin is a premier, up-and-coming comedic performer boasting verve and nerve where “Def” meets deft. Josef reflects an eclectic appeal, a product of his Oakland, California upbringing and Filipino & Japanese heritage. Onstage he’s known for on-point punditry, stylish substance and a palpable, affable freshness. A veritable Renaissance iron man, Josef can be found performing regularly throughout the beauteous Bay Area.” Josef produces such shows as “Live at Deluxe” “Haters Gonna Hate” & “The Outdoor Comedy Club” in Oakland. @josefanolin

Lydia Popovich (SF Sketchfest, Punchline Comedy Club)
Lydia Popovich is a SF-based comedian and blogger. Her website, Hater Tuesday founded in 2003 garners thousands of weekly visits from friends and family around the world. Her anecdotal humor and vivid storytelling make her a unique voice in a sea of dick jokes. She produces and hosts an all female stand-up showcase in the Bay Area called Ladies Love that takes place the second Tuesday of each month at The Layover in Oakland and once every 3 months at The Punch Line in SF. @hatertuesday

Papp Johnson (#HellaFunny)
Oakland native Papp Johnson offers audiences thoughtful stupidity that will make you feel bad for laughing at his observations that are politically incorrect but right on the money. His deep voice and monotone delivery sucks in the crowd and leaves them hanging onto every word. Winner of San Francisco’s Death at a Funeral comedy contest, Papp Johnson is a sure fire star to keep your eyes on. @PAPPlication

Feel Woods (#HellaFunny)
Feel Woods is a young stand up comedian born and raised in Oakland. His comedy entails the struggles of growing up in the hood when having a huge stuttering problem, trials and tribulations on dating older women, and hooking up with girls in his public storage. Feel’s urban style and self deprecating humor made him an official member of #HellaFunny Productions and a favorite at comedy clubs around the Bay Area. @feelwoodscomedy

Casey Ley (“Best Comic in SF” – SF Weekly, NPR)
Casey Ley’s comedy is silly. And smart And dirty. And dark. And handsome. It’s a lot like him actually. So it is also self-centered and flakey and relatively promiscuous. He is the creator of the popular San Francisco comedy game show Mayhem Trivia and stand-up show Some People Like Us. He has performed in festivals like SFSketchfest, Bridgetown in Portland, Oregon and the Moontower Festival in Austin, TX and on stage with comics such as Hannibal Burress, Todd Barry, Maria Bamford Doug Benson, Mike Birbiglia and Janeane Garofalo. Casey was voted best comic in San Francisco by SF Weekly in 2012 and his comedy has appeared on NPR, side rooms all over the country and in his mind for three decades. @caseywley

Jason Rogers (American Me Comedy)
Jason Rogers of Standup Guy Productions is the creator/producer of American Me Comedy! Jason’s uniquely Yankee American upbringing as an adopted Korean kid in Mr. Roger’s white picket fence neighborhood of New Boston, New Hampshire gave him a distinctive “slant” on life, now put to hilarious use in his stand-up routines. @amcsgp
