FUNgeon: Stand Up Comedy at the Armory Club | Mission

The Kink.com owned Armory Club hosts FUNgeon, a night of stand up comedy from comedians Andrew Holmgren (Viceland), Connor Marshall (Dr. Fart Comic) and also staring Andrew Holmgren’s beard (Hopefully Washed Recently).

This comedy series doesn’t take place on a regular schedule, but when they do, they are joined by a fresh line up of top local talent and touring comics, including comics seen on Conan, Comedy Central, Viceland, and more.

San Francisco comedians and local hair/mustache icons Connor Marshall (Dr. Fart Comic) and Andrew Holmgren (SF Weeklys best comic 2014/ VICELAND) are gearing up to bring you another raucous edition of FUNgeon: the most fun you can have in the basement of a porn company-owned cocktail bar while keeping your clothes on.

RSVP for free tickets

Connor and Andrew present an evening of some of their favorite comedians from the Bay Area and beyond.

The March 24th lineup includes

  • Keith D’Souza – Road Rage Podcast, Opens for Doug Stanhope, VICELAND
  • Adam Pearlstein – SF Sketchfest
  • Torio Van Grol – San Francisco Punchline, the SFists 2016 best comedian

About our headliner:

Torio Van Grol was first discovered by a gentleman naturalist in 1676, causing an uproar among the clergy, who claimed that he was placed on Earth by God as a test of faith. After much careful study, Torio has been widely accepted as real, though some controversy lingers. Many people believe that early humans coexisted peacefully with him, even caring for him and riding on his back as a form of transportation. But Torio is not strong enough to carry people, instead relying on speed, cunning and a bulletproof eBay rating for survival.

In 2016, he was listed as one of the Bay Area’s best stand-up comedians by SFist. He won the title, “Best Joke of 2015” by the award-winning SF blog Courting Comedy. Torio has performed at SF Sketchfest for the past three years, as well as many other comedy festivals including the 10,000 Laughs Festival, Santa Cruz Fringe Festival and more.
