In an event not to be missed this summer, the Gamelan Sekar Jaya will give a performance of Balinese dances.

The dancers will present pieces that give a taste of the wide range of characters, movements, and moods of this unique dance form. Steeped in the rich culture and traditions of Bali, Indonesia, the audience will have the opportunity to meet the performers and understand the magic of this style of dance.

This free 45 minute program is provided by the Contra Costa County Library Summer Reading Festival.
