The Big Five will be in full effect when the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco celebrates Jazz on Film. George and Ira Gershwin, Rodgers and Hart, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin and Jerome Kern were instrumental in shaping the early musical works of film. Their dedication and mammoth talent shaped what we call Jazz today.
This event will explore their work and contributions to both movies and music, with live Jazz performances that will get your toes tapping. Featuring live: the Klipptones.
