Golden Gate Park Band’s Free Symphony in the Park (2024)
The Golden Gate Park Band presents its 142nd season in Golden Gate Park’s music concourse. That’s right, this 30-piece symphony has been playing free concerts in Golden Gate Park since 1882.
On Sunday, July 28, 2013, the Golden Gate Park Band will feature Polish soprano soloist Dalyte Kodzis at the Spreckels Temple of Music in Golden Gate Park.
Kodzis is a Bay Area resident, and besides singing opera, she apparently also has a talent for… stilt walking? Although we don’t think she’ll be stilting with the Golden Gate Park Band, we’re intrigued nevertheless.
