A nostalgia-filled, old world-style event where handmade, man-powered vehicles compete for awards and accolades, the Great Handcar Regatta is coming back to Santa Rosa on Sunday, September 25  for a day of  races between railcars named things like Immaculate Contraption and The Oddcycle.

So buy your tickets for $8 until September 24 to see some handmade cars, makeshift musical acts like The Barbary Ghosts (songs from the sea) and Shovelman (a “Surrealist Folk Superhero”), as well as puppet shows, zucchini races and more.
