2023 Updates

San Francisco’s long-running and beloved Greek Food Festival, newly rebranded as “A Journey of Greek Culture,” returns to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral on 245 Valencia Street in the Mission District September 15-17, 2023. The Food Festival will run for three full days and will open at 12 noon on Friday, September 15, in time for lunch, which is new for 2023

The San Francisco Food Festival will offer for purchase a wide variety of freshly homemade Greek food, including Spanakopita, Moussaka, Gemista (stuffed peppers), Gyros, and other meat and vegetarian options. There is a new item on the food lineup this year: fried calamari.

A new “cafenio” (coffee shop) set up will offer Greek desserts and coffee; there will be Greek wine, beer, and other drinks; and a variety of vendors will be on hand selling a selection of items. Traditional dance performances by award-winning folk dance groups will grace the festival, and music will be provided by DJ Jukebox C, who plays both new and classic Greek tunes.
