Event Details

Next year, Dolores Park closes for a year of renovations so enjoy it while it lasts with a bilingual tour (English/Spanish) of the social hub’s natural attractions. Chris Ingram, owner of Mr. Prune Tree Care and a certified arborist leads the free walking tour. With his background as a pruning and horticulture instructor, you can probably grill him about your rose bushes too.

  • Meet at the J Church Muni Stop on the Northwest corner of Dolores Park (Church Street and 18th Street)

Friends of the Urban Forest, a local nonprofit that teams with home owners to take out slabs of San Francisco sidewalks and replace them with trees, sponsors the event. They mostly rely on volunteers like Kori to green the city, at the rate of nearly 1,000 trees planted each year since 1981
