Come join the Oakland Fukuoka Sister City Association and the Golden State Bonsai Collection North for an evening of Japanese food, entertainment, and moon viewing on October 28, 2012.
The Harvest moon is a symbol of blessing and abundance for many cultures. Similar to tea parties, these moon viewing parties are occasions for sharing food and stories while enjoying what is considered the most beautiful moon of the year.

Lakeside Park Garden Center, 666 Bellevue Avenue, Oakland
FREE music & viewing, pre-reserved dinner is $15Entertainment will begin at 6:30pm, featuring performances from:
- Jiten Daiko (traditional Japanese drums)
- Performances by the student ambassadors from Asian Pacific Children’s Convention
At 7:30pm the Harvest Moon Viewing will begin with Telescopic Viewing of the Moon and other celestial points of interest provided by the East Bay Astronomical Society.
