KALW 91.7FM presents “Heard Here,” an interactive evening of stories told live on stage at 8pm at the Victoria Theater on Friday, April 12, 2013.

A surfer takes on a Maverick wave. A woman turns a transportation problem into a taxi service for queer people. A writer acquires an unexpected tenant – and his house plant.

Inspired by real people in the Bay Area, this show will feature stories of ordinary locals who have gone through extraordinary circumstances – all told by some of the Bay’s best writers, radio producers, and performers including:

  • Kitchen Sisters
  • Martina Castro
  • Hana Baba
  • Chris Colin
  • and introducing 81st Avenue East Oakland Senior Library Assistant, Anthony Propernick

Stay after the performance for their post-show after-party.
