2016 HeART of Market Outdoor Dance Festival | SoMa

The 18th annual Bay Area National Dance Week runs Friday, April 22 – Sunday, May 1, 2016.

The annual 10-day festival features over 400 free events throughout the Bay Area. Take dance classes and watch free performances in a wide range of styles including Argentine tango, classical Indian, jazz, hip hop, ballet, traditional hula, fire dance, Samba, modern, Chinese classical, belly dance, aerial dance, West African, contact improvisation, and more.

Alonzo King LINES Ballet returns to Mint Plaza for its HeART of Market: Dance, Create, Connect, a free, participatory and family friendly event.

Enjoy performances by LINES Dance Center students and LINES Ballet’s education programs, LINES Community Programs participants and some of SF’s best choreographers. Get in the action with interactive dance experiences.

  • Tenderloin Boys and Girls Club

  • Presidio Middle School
  • Robert Moses’ Kin
