History for Half Pints (the kid kind, not the drinking kind) is a monthly family day at the California Historical Society in San Francisco, featuring music, games and of course, history.

The family day takes place every second Saturday of the month and is free with an RSVP, or if you’re a CHS member.

This month we dive into the yesterday, today, and tomorrow of cities.
The ball park – design your own baseball player and take it home.
The Farmers Market – Become inspired by the food labels of California’s past and design your own! What would your farm be like? What produce would you sell?
The Type Studio – see what typographers have designed and create your very own font.
The Picnic – take a breather and read some California history picture books while lounging in our reading nook.
Dress up corner – Dive into history through dress up.
