Event Details

Join them for a conversation on the past and future of Mountain Lake. Using photographs, maps, and personal memories, local historians will highlight the history, human use, restoration, and borderland status of the lake located between the Presidio and the Richmond District neighborhood. Woody LaBounty from the Western Neighborhoods Project, a non-profit dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the western neighborhoods of San Francisco, will join Presidio Trust historian Dr. Barbara Berglund Sokolov, and a representative of the team that has recently restored and enhanced Mountain Lake’s ecology.
