Enjoy an all-day hometown holiday celebration at Alameda City Hall. The will be free artificial skating rink, and games and crafts for kids, starting at noon.

The Mayor’s 2012 Tree Lighting Program begins at 5:30 p.m., but plan to arrive as early as 4:30 p.m. to enjoy the pre-Tree Lighting Festivities.

Entertainment will be the Community Band, the Mistle Tones and the Dancing Christmas Trees. There will be candy canes for kids and a visit from Santa Claus.
