Join Emily Han at Umami Mart on Sunday for Intro to Making Syrups, a free demonstration and tasting. At this event, you’ll learn about when, why, and how to use syrups to make sodas, cocktails, and mocktails, as well as basic techniques to make them yourself at home using fresh and seasonal fruits, herbs, and spices.

Emily will demonstrate how to make three syrups: Citrus and Bay Leaf, Stone Fruit and Ginger, and White Fir Syrup. A Q&A and book signing of Emily’s book, “Wild Drinks and Cocktails: Handcrafted Squashes, Shrubs, Switchels, Tonics, and Infusions to Mix at Home,” will follow the demonstration and tasting.
