Event Details

Experience the new work, Jacob’s Dream: A Luminous Path, created for Grace Cathedral by their 2016 Artists in Residence, Benjamin Bergery and Jim Campbell.

The installation will feature light and moving images designed to evoke a pathway between earth and heaven, between the visible and invisible, as they continue exploring their “Home” theme. Bergery, a media artist and cinematographer, and Campbell, a light artist whose work is in the collections of both the New York and San Francisco Museums of Modern Art, have previously collaborated on critically-acclaimed projects.

Bergery is a French media artist and cinematographer, and Campbell is one of the most famous light artists working in America today.

On view in the cathedral, 9 am to 6 pm daily, starting Sunday, December 11.

9:30 am: Light Up: The Creative Process — A conversation with the artists at The Forum
5 pm: Official opening and reception with the artists
