The Yerba Buena Gardens Festival (YBGF) features over 90 free outdoor events from May to October on three stages including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, family festivals and children’s programs with artists from all over the world Africa, Bali, Italy, Colombia, Cuba, Mexico, the Philippines, Sweden, China and the Bay Area.

Japan in the Gardens: Emeryville Taiko | Yerba Buena Gardens Festival | 2012Japanese Taiko in Yerba Buena Gardens takes place on October 11, 2012 and will not take place on October 12 as we originally posted.
Emeryville Taiko, under the direction of Sensei Susan Horn, is intensely focused on developing new directions in Taiko. Initiated under the guidance of Grand Master Seiichi Tanaka, founder of San Francisco Taiko Dojo, the ensemble utilizes the art of Japanese drumming to enhance the quality of the educational and cultural life of the community at large.
Emeryville Taiko teaches performance skills to its students and promotes performances in schools, community events, festivals and local theaters in the Bay Area
