Before her break-out role as Boo on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, Lea DeLaria was making a name for herself as one of the pioneering openly-gay comedians on television. She’s starred in numerous TV shows and films, winning a wheelbarrow of awards. But her best work is arguably on stage, where she puts on a show that combines hot jazz and cool comedy.
Sure you can go see one of the hundreds of male comedians messing around with an acoustic guitar, but why waste an evening? Go see Lea and enjoy your night.
