Join this free class to learn about the classical Japanese theatre tradition of Kabuki.

San Mateo Kabuki Club is a well-established group that holds classes on the first Sunday of every month, focusing on classic performances on film and participate in related events in the area.

The club is also active in an online community. Anyone is welcome to join the Club’s classes and online community Classes are open to the public.

Here is a rare chance to study on video the Kabuki theater drama, “Meiboku Sendai Hagi” (The Precious Incense and Autumn Flowers of Sendai). Featuring an all-star cast.

The video will be shown in Japanese, with adequate introduction and synopsis provided in English. Feel free to bring a snack to share.
