One City One Book 2012
One City One Book: San Francisco Reads is an annual citywide literary event that encourages members of the San Francisco community to read the same book at the same time and then discuss it in book groups and at events throughout the City.
For 2012, the One City One Book is A Paradise Built in Hell: The Extraordinary Communities that Arise in Disaster by San Francisco author Rebecca Solnit.
Knocking on Heaven’s Door is a lecture on post-1906 San Francisco Earthquake photography with Dr. Rodger C. Birt.
