Event Details

In celebration of Kularts’ new project, “Isugid Pinoy: Stories in Pictures & Words” they will kick-off with a free comic storytelling workshop, open to the public.

Whether you dabble in the visual arts or are a part-time doodler, this workshop is your chance to learn how to create your own comic world. Don and Raf will teach you the basics on how to script, layout, and develop your own comic to tell your stories.

Workshop Topics:

  • World building, visual and scripting for comics (what POV are you coming from, tone of the story, characters, conflict)
Layouts & Sketching – visual development (understanding  how to use the page to effectively tell the story, showing instead of telling, inform how it’ll be drawn, discover how paneling can affect storytelling)

Please note that this workshop is open to the public, high school students & up. Free but an RSVP is required.

Disclaimer: Please double check event information with the event organizer as events can be canceled, details can change after they are added to our calendar, and errors do occur.
