Event Details

If you believe in self-expression, passion, free art and weird sh*t inside of a movie theater in Oakland come out this Monday to the only late-night Open Mic inside of a movie theater in Oakland. It’s gonna be a show for freaks, squares, queers and straights, hosted by three brown kids – Mercedes Gibson of Guerilla Suit Media, Muhamad Kugonza of SURU Clothing and Melody Divine.

Monday, 4/20 is their commercial film shoot with filmmaker Karyn Barnett-Day. Featured artists are Jyoti Swamy and Caleb Parker, and they’ll also have a DJ (still TBA, so check with Facebook closer to the show to find out who it is).

Late Nite Open Mic at The New Parkway Theater has the capacity for 125 fine booties to sit, so get there early to make sure yours is one of them.

Have a story stuck in your throat? Need to practice your public speaking skills? Love to perform and just need an audience? Want to win movie tickets, pizza, beer?
