Come out again this summer and bring your toe-tapping shoes, as the Laurel Village Association is once again hosting the Summer Solstice Music Festival on June 23, 2012.

The 7th annual event will highlight all the wonderful performers who live in the Laurel and will be centered on MacArthur Blvd. between Brown and Loma Vista Streets.

Originally inspired by the Fete de la Musique, which takes place every summer solstice in France, this year’s event will feature musicians who live and are affiliated from the Laurel District neighborhood in Oakland. Believe it or not, there are a lot of reknowned artists in our midst. Come out and see them. Best of all, it’s free.
