Event Details

Kinetech Arts presents “The Littoral Zone,” an evening with writer, photographer, and majestic mermaid dance creature Irene Hsiao, who will show photographs, screen a preview of “Mad Rush,” a dance film made in collaboration with Le Wang (director of Wangle Creative), and read an excerpt from her work-in-progress novel.

Free, but an RSVP is required.

Irene Hsiao has appeared with Alma Esperanza Cunningham Movement, Labayen Dance/SF, Winifred Haun & Dancers, Lenora Lee Dance, and others. Her book, Letter from Taipei, was published in January. She writes often for SF Weekly and is collaborating on films with Yael Vidan and Le Wang. She joined Kinetech Arts in May 2013.

Kinetech Arts is a collective of artists and scientists striving to challenge possibility through collaborative creativity. Kinetech Arts holds a weekly lab and forum every Tuesday at KUNST-STOFF Arts, which is open to all interested participants to explore and develop connections among technology, dance, and visual art.
