Event Details

Plan ahead for your Labor Day staycation with Long to Belong Art Show Opening Night. Invite your friends for a fun night filled with great art, drinks, food, and expect your imagination to run loose!

Long to Belong Art Show is a collaboration of emerging artists in the heart of San Francisco Chinatown, curated by Sanfranology to support an inclusive, co-creative community. There will be illustrations, comics, photography and more as we share stories and causes of people who (at the moment) call San Francisco home.

In this diverse city of San Francisco where everyone comes and goes, we try each other’s food and clothes, values and holidays. We try to fit in with our traditions and with those of others, yet still guided by each of our own individuality:

It’s up to us to dream and create new territories where more of “us” can feel we belong.

Expect music, drinks and refreshments, face painting, and a photo booth. Afterwards, head over to the local bars in Chinatown: Red’s and Li Po on the same block or Vesuvio in two!

Some proceeds go to Gray Area Foundation for the Arts.

RSVP and find participating artists and organizations here.
