Event Details

Radar Productions presents Lucha Libro, the Bay Area’s first-ever literary wrestling competition, taking place at The Park Gym on Saturday, November 11th, 2017.

Inspired by Peru’s own literary wrestling match, Lucha Libro will feature five QTPOC writers that will compete LIVE for the publication of their next chapbook plus a ton of other prizes.

How it works:

  • Per the wrestling literary tradition, on the day of the event—in a the ring in front of screaming fans—each person will be given three words that must be incorporated in a narrative written in 10 minutes. You will have a chair, a desk and your writing will be projected for all attendees to see.
  • Three judges will deliberate and choose a winner.
  • Winner’s chapbook will be published by Foglifter in the Summer 2018.
