Events at Omnivore Books On Food
Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
Come show off your savory skills by making the chewiest, gooiest, most addictive mac & cheese you can, or just come and taste all the deliciousness.
Free for contest entrants. $5 to taste mac & cheese.
For customers who prefer to eat that cook, bring $5 and an appetite, and help judge the best in the room. If you are cooking, please bring a serving spoon and an apron, and come a little early. The winner will split the door money with Omnivore Books.
Guest judges are Allison Arevalo and Erin Wade of Oakland’s Homeroom, an amazing mac & cheese restaurant. They are also authors of The Mac + Cheese Cookbook: 50 Simple Recipes from Homeroom, America’s Favorite Mac and Cheese Restaurant.
