Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s – led by singer and songwriter Richard Edwards – creates catchy pop music that swirls with fear and doubt and tension and beauty.

For the latest album, subsisting only on aloe vera extract and clam chowder, Edwards spent 26 days burying himself in sand, sleeping outdoors, and finishing a batch of songs inspired by childhood, fatherhood, and bad stomach pain. Calm evenings bore panicked music.
