Freespace Pop-Up Community Center

Freespace is a pop-up community center focused on hacking the civic experience. It is hosted in a 14,000 sqft warehouse in S0Ma, San Francisco, envisioned and implemented entirely by you.

Freespace was originally just a one month project, but it was extended to two months thanks to successful Indiegogo campaign. They’re now open periodically (check their schedule). They host a wide array of events and projects like classes, music, art, silent discos, yoga, a free bikeshare, community engagement and field trips, and more than a few silly costumes.

Flower Giveaway | Freespace Pop-Up Community Center

Brighten someone’s day with a flower. Freespace will get lots of flowers donated by the Brannan Street Wholesale Florists, then make them into small, pretty bouquets and give them out to strangers on Market Street.

Check out a video of their first flower giveaway and join them in this fun and heartwarming activity and make somebody’s day.

Meet at Freespace at 1:30 pm and you’ll head from there.
