Event Details

Master Thangka painter Jamyong Singye will lead you to an appreciation of Tibetan culture and its meditative and instructional art form: Thangka painting. Each Thangka begins with a beautifully simple premise–that every brushstroke is a prayer. Each prayer comes to life, to move and inspire you.

After fleeing Tibet and living from the age of six as a monk in India, Singye eventually landed in San Francisco, a base from which he has taught Thankga painting and lectured on Tibetan culture for nearly twenty years. Understanding his karmic role created a deep connection with his culture, and his abiding commitment to find unity and harmony in all things.
