The 2012 Mission Creek Oakland Music & Arts Festival is a month-long series of concerts, comedy and art events (most of them free) from September 1-30 showcasing the musicians, artists, and venues on the sunnier side of the bay (aka “Oakland)

The festival is organized by a group of local promoters, artists, musicians, and the local weekly newspaper, East Bay Express.

The Tenderloins sound like they’re stoned in the basement after eating too many of Chester Copperpot’s hella yummy magic truffles. The result is a muscular and catchy garage rock with a hint of psychedelia that sounds like they’re the younger brothers of the Soft White Sixties just trying to impress their older sibling.
