Mission Creek Oakland Music & Arts Festival
The 2012 Mission Creek Oakland Music & Arts Festival is a month-long series of concerts, comedy and art events (most of them free) from September 1-30 showcasing the musicians, artists, and venues on the sunnier side of the bay (aka “Oakland)

The festival is organized by a group of local promoters, artists, musicians, and the local weekly newspaper, East Bay Express.

Come witness Micachu & the Shapes’ unharnessed creativity at Amoeba Berkeley as part of the 4th Annual Mission Creek Oakland Music & Arts Festival.

Their second studio album Never (out now on Rough Trade) is even more chaotic and messy than 2009’s Jewellry, and that’s a good thing. Under the leadership of the group’s 25-year-old founder and front woman Mica Levi, the band has become known for recording with unconventional, household, and handmade instruments such as hoovers, decks of cards, and bowed CD racks.
