The Moderno Italiano Festival free festival celebrating contemporary Italian design, food, and film on October 4, 2012 at the Emeryville Public Market.
The opening night includes Fiat 500 test drives (free, first come first serve) along with the ”Mangia Bevi Mercato” offering free tastings of Italian cheeses, wine, and beer including Galbani cheeses, Baci chocolates, Peroni beer and various Italian wines, as well as locally-made products in the Italian-style, such as Fra’ Mani salumi and Corto Olive Oil.
The free bike-in outdoor film is Gianni e le Donne (The Salt of Life) is set-up across the street at Fremont Park with free bike valet parking. Bring blankets or chairs, and grab a pizza, panini, salad and gelato (for purchase from Hot Italian).
