Event Details

Mishi “Morphic” Nova and her styling team will yet again create iconic hair on the (PARK)ing Day streets, braiding in the essence of Americana. From classics like fishtails, five-strands and crowns to a taste of modern urban Americana with big lush braids accented with bold flashes of color.

The streets of San Francisco will be filled with “Braided Americana” on this year’s (PARK)ing Day, Friday Sept. 19th, on Mission Street, between Annie and Montgomery, from 10 am to 2 pm.

San Francisco celebrates its 9th annual (PARK)ing Day next Friday, September 19, 2014. This global, open-source event, started by an SF design firm in 2005, offers artists, designers, and citizens the opportunity to turn metered parking spaces into public mini-parks, calling attention to the need for more urban open space.
