Mundo Maya 12.12.12: Mayan Calendar Celebration | Mission Dist.

Galeria de La Raza presents their new exhibit Mundo Maya 12:12:12: A Celebration of the Mayan Culture & Calendar with works by Latino/Mayan youth in collaboration with artist Roberto Y. Hernandez.

This four day celebration will include an opening reception, a maiz celebration, a ceremony for La Virgen de Guadalupe and a ceremony for the end of the Mayan Calendar. All are free and open to the public.

Saturday, December 29: 3pm-6pm / Cacao Celebration
Join a celebration of all things cacao. For $3-5 you can sample pan dulce, cacao drin, chocolate candy, and more in honor of the pioneers of what we now know as chocolate. In collaboration with Sixth Course artisan confections, La Victoria Bakery, La Cocina and L Café.
