Omnivore Books on Food is a teeny Noe Valley bookstore, their shelves packed floor to ceiling with hundreds of new, antiquarian, and collectible titles, on all manner of food and cooking.
The store hosts frequent events including book signings, chef talks, author readings, cooking contests, and food and drink tastings.
As a young woman, Brennan and her husband, with their small children, bought a French farmhouse with a little land and some goats, in hopes of realizing the dream of an idyllic existence. These memories are accompanied by forty delicious recipes, gorgeous photographs and informative, lively text featuring information about seven of her favorite regional French festivals.
