Event Details

For the first time in 17 years, the gates of NASA’s Ames Research Center near Mountain View will open to share the center’s world-class space and aeronautics research facilities with the local community on Saturday, October 18, 2014.

Free, but tickets with reserved entry times are required. Tickets are now sold out. 

Planned features include educational booths highlighting Ames space missions, a two-mile self-guided walking tour through the center past huge wind tunnels and a simulated Mars landscape, opportunities to visit with Ames engineers and scientists in front of their facilities, family-friendly talks with researchers and demonstrations of technology invented at Ames over the center’s 75-year history in the area now known as Silicon Valley.

The event is free but tickets with reserved entry times are required. Public transportation is highly encouraged as there is no parking on site.
