National Plug In Day 2012: Electric Car Festival | Crissy FieldSan Francisco’s Plug In Day 2012 will once again be held at Crissy Field, part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, at site of the EV Charging Station, the most beautiful charging location in the world.

The day kicks off with the largest gathering of LEAFs ever anywhere plus a day filled with speeches by EV advocates, including a representative of the National Park Service. Lots of regular folks with their plug-in cars who want to share their real-world experiences. Cars include Nissan LEAF, Chevy Volt, BMW ActiveE, Tesla and a older VW Beetle conversion.

2012 Plug In Day Festival Schedule:
- 9am to 4pm
- LEAF owners “warm up” event, 9:30-11:30;
- LEAF and Plug In Day ceremonies, 11:30-1PM;
- EVs and Plug Ins on display, informal discussions continue until 4PM
- iPad giveaways
