Canceled – “Oakland Nights…Live” Late Night Talk Show | Oakland

“Oakland Nights…Live” no longer takes place as of January 2015.

What is “Oakland Nights…Live“? Why it is Oakland’s very own low-budget monthly late night talk show.

It’s half Johnny Carson, half Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, and all Oakland. They’ve had marine biologists, talks with Oakland public school teachers, Star Trek: TNG re-rnactments, call-in relationship advice, live interviews with astrophysicist from the South Pole, and more.

Filled with Oakland trivia, highlights on local small businesses, spotlights on amazing non-profits – it is a microscope that looks in on all the little wonders across the Oakland Bay Area.

Please note, the event can get very crowded. This event is very popular and often fills up and they have to turn people away. So either show up very early, or risk being turned away at the door.

For October Oakland Nights Live presents Part 2 of their two-month coverage of the Oakland Mayoral race, featuring current Oakland mayor Jean Quan and mayoral candidate and current council member Rebecca Kaplan, plus some very special guest panelists Favianna Rodriguez and Pendarvis Harshaw – both big names on the Oakland arts and social action scene.

Bring questions and get ready for a great evening.

Schedule for the Evening

  • 7:30 pm – Doors Open
  • 7:45 pm – Opening Entertainment with Hernandez Hideaway
  • 8pm – 9:30pm – The show
