Share your knowledge of Oakland at the About Oakland writing party from 6-8 pm on Wednesday, November 7, 2012.
Share your opinions about the best places to go and things to do in Oakland.
There will be snacks, drinks, writing coaches and people to sit and work beside, all upstairs in the Tech Liminal conference room.
Bring your laptop and some story ideas–for this first session, folks should come prepared to write on the following topics and themes:
- Eat it: Best places to eat lunch in Oakland (be prepared to share a place you like and why you like it, as well as what to eat).
- Where to get a good burrito in Oakland
- Where to get good hamburgers in Oakland
- Where to get good pizza in Oakland
We”ll be writing pieces that we can share on Oakland Local as community voices and opinions.
What to bring:
- Laptop, if possible
- Ideas on the topic
- Energy
- Fun
We aren’t sure if the drinks and snacks are complimentary, but they probably are. Bring a few bucks, just in case.
