Event Details

Alma Aragón and her husband, the celebrated Zapotec artist Saul Aragón, create some of the finest decorated wooden figures in Oaxaca, Mexico. Following her husband’s popular visit last year, she will join on October 9-11 (Friday-Sunday) to exhibit and demonstrate her delightful work. Besides producing their captivating carvings, the couple have inspired fellow artists and won worldwide recognition for their leadership in the sustainable harvesting of copal trees, the traditional Oaxacan source of wood for carving.
