Step back in time and experience the Victorian farmhouse lit by candlelight. Ascend to the restored widow’s walk. Meet the ghost of Maria Peralta performed by tour guide Diane Wang. Enjoy tamales and sangria in the Peralta House’s beautiful kitchen.

This event is part of Obscura Day 2011–  an international day of expeditions, back-room tours and hidden treasures, in cities and towns all over the world! Obscura day is organized by the folks behind Atlas Obscura, a compendium of the world’s wonders, curiosities, and esoterica. This international event is occurring at 80 different sites around the world and Oakland’s Peralta Hacienda is one of them.
