Obsolete Californias: Installation & Event Series | SF
Obsolete Californias is a two-week-long installation and event series exploring the relics and customs of Californias that no longer exist and proposing contemporary opportunities for exchange.
Events will include movies, speakers, DJs, workshops and even a wrestling match.
The installation is presented by Shipping & Receiving and will be at StoreFrontLab January 9-25, 2013.
Screening and conversation featuring excerpts from That Boy (1974) and Nights in Black Leather (1973), both starring Peter Berlin, plus various scenes of gay sex subculture, streets, cars, bars, and San Francisco in the 1970s.
Free, but RSVP is required.
Mercifully, the DJ will make music happen over any dialogue.
