Sunday Therapy Wrestling | Obsolete Californias: Installation & Event Series | SF

Therapy Wrestling Matches & Combative Drawing Battles | SFFight therapist and interdisciplinary artist Melissa Wyman who investigates interpersonal exchanges and hybrid notions of belonging and will bring her mats and some moves.

Historic and contemporary battles will play themselves out on the mat during this metaphorical wrestling event.

Watch from afar as participants take on combative role playing (perhaps a banker vs. the 99%, a critical mass cyclist vs. a driver, landlord vs. tenant, etc…) or offer to participate and take out your aggression on your opponent.

You’ll dress up in costume, learn some basic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to give you some moves whether you’re on top or on bottom and help play out California’s struggles on the mat.

Or for something lower impact, there will be Combative Drawing Battles with everything done on paper.

Free, but RSVP is required.
