In 2016 London hosted the first Official Animal Rights March where 2,500 vegans marched demanding an end to all animal oppression – and now, with great excitement activists from Berkeley are hosting their first Official Animal Rights March with support from PETA, Direct Action Everywhere, The Save Movement, Vegans of the Bay, Berkeley Organization for Animal Advocacy, and Berkeley Animal Rights Center.
You will meet at Downtown Berkeley BART Station is located on Shattuck Avenue between Allston Way and Addison Street. It is conveniently located close to the University of California campus and to many shops, restaurants, theaters and other attractions, and has valet bike parking.
They would like to encourage you to make placards, banners, and even costumes – they want this to be a bright and bold march. They would also love instruments, such as drums. However, bringing yourself is the most important thing of all. If you would like to do outreach along the way ensure you bring lots of leaflets.
