Event Details

The San Mateo County History Museum will present two free special holiday activities.

“Tree Treasures,” from 10 am until 4 pm, will feature children’s craft activities where kids can paint “gingerbread” ornaments, make glittering gewgaws and Dresdens, create cornucopias to fill with treats, and “candles” to light the tree.

Also, children can meet Santa Claus, sit on his lap and receive free photographs of themselves with the jolly old fellow.

At 1 pm, there will be a presentation of the San Francisco State University Handbell Choir, which will perform some favorite holiday tunes including I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day, Go Tell It on the MountainMarshmallow World and Winter Wonderland.

Additionally, museum admission will be free for everyone as part of Redwood City’s Hometown Holidays celebration.
