Opera on Tap: Non-stuffy Opera Sung Live in a Bar | SF

Opera on Tap: Nasty Break Up Arias | SFOpera on Tap is a non-profit organization whose mission is to break down the stereo-type that opera is a stuffy or an elitist art form, by bringing it to bars.

Local singers let their hair down and bring you into what feels like an after hours back stage party, singing some of opera’s best known and little known pieces in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.

Opera's Nastiest Breakup Arias | Opera on Tap: Non-stuffy Opera Sung Live in a Bar | SF

Summer is ending, and it’s taking all the romance with it. Join Opera on Tap in this final heatwave of summer, as they get scrappy with some of opera’s nastiest break-ups, teary-eyed for lost loves, and downright peeved at the one who just couldn’t stay faithful.

Free, but and RSVP is appreciated.

Featuring works from Don Giovanni (of course), Manon, Cosi Fan Tutti, La Boheme, The Old Maid and the Thief, Un Ballo in Maschera, and more.
